According to current EU law, horses need to be registered in the country where they are born, e.g. if your foal is born in Germany it needs to be registered with a German breeding association.
Over the last years some exceptions have been made but for all foals born in 2013 and later registration with the PFHA in the United States will not be accepted. There may be exceptions so if you are not sure, please contact your regional breeding association to find out.
